Options for High Streets on Arterial Routes

The best way to make high streets more pleasant for cyclists and pedestrians is to divert motorised traffic away from the high street.   People in cars provide relatively little footfall for local businesses, so the not only does removing motorised traffic make the town centre more attractive, but also it increases trade, as happened in New Street in Birmingham city centre when that was pedestrianised.   Unfortunately it is not always possible to divert traffic without simply moving the…

I have recently purchased a rather tired Birdy and am looking for someone in Birmingham who knows their stuff and might be able to give it the care and attention it has been lacking. Can anyone recommend a specialist who might have a look at it? Thanks in anticipation.
