 nThe Beacon RCC February Audaxes are an institution on the Audax cale
 ndar, attracting 250 participants each year. The routes use quiet cou
 ntry roads through rural Worcestershire to Evesham and Upton. A gritte
 d alternative is also available if icy.\n \n\nEvent\n\nStart Time\n\n

 xpress\n\n09.00\n\n123km anti-clockwise\n\n\n\n\nThey provide a perfec
 t motivation to get out with friends when they might otherwise be temp
 ted to stay indoors. In recent years we have also been delighted to we
 lcome several local racing cyclists who used it for steady winter trai

 \n\nControls are hosted by commercial cafes at Evesham and Upton Upon 
 Severn wher further food can be purchased.\n \nThe Boring Small Print
  Stuff\nThe event is held under AUK regulations:\n\nThe route is on op
 en public roads.\n\nSome routes may be arduous.\n\nIt is not a race or
  a timed trial.\n\nThe route is not waymarked or marshalled.\n\nYou sh
 ould prepare by studying the route.\n\nThe organiser provides no rescu
 e service.\nYou are responsible for your safety/conduct.\nThe cafes ar
 e acting as hosts for our controls.In the event of cancellation, as ha
 ppened in 2009 due to totally ice bound roads, any proceeds will be do
 nated to charity and fees will not be refundable.\n\nRiders will need 
 to make sure that they ride between 15 and 30kph average to finish.\n
