Any updates on the new cycle highways for Bristol Road A38, and the A34 to Perry Bar? Or have the lanes been cancelled again? (not meaning to be negative but would not surprise me if they did get cancelled again!)

I haven't heard anything and there's no sign of any work on A38 as far as I can tell. This reckons some work has started on A34...

Can anyone confirm?

I've not seen any evidence of work along Bristol Road either, at least on the sections nearer the Uni than the city centre. When they slightly adjusted the width of the advisory lanes along Bristol Road west of Selly Oak a couple of years back, there were signs up all along the road for weeks in advance warning drivers about the work. So far I've not seen any signs about the planned work this time.

and here you are

It was on Midlands Today this evening, 2nd item. Available on iplayer for a short while featuring Andi Smith and a Conservative Councillor

Not the highways... but have noticed this week that one side of Olton Boulevard East between Shirley Road and Fox Hollies Rd has been blocked of to through traffic.  I thought this scheme had been put on hold and funding transferred for the A34/A38highways.  Not sure where cyclists access will be though.
