I've always found the guy that runs Midland Computer Exchange in Stirchley friendly, helpful, communicative, and knowledgeable enough, though I've not had anything repaired there and I don't know if he will come out to you.   It's his attitude that gets my vote, and he's been there a long time so I think he's proving equally helpful to others.   If you do get something repaired by him, I would be interested to hear how you get on.

I would also recommend MCE corner of Maryvale Road/Pershore Road in Stirchley.

We use him  quite alot with work, three doors away! Not the cheapest but he does know what he is doing and will tell you when something isn't worth fixing, so doesn't stitch you up.

I have a guy I have known and who has looked after my computers for over 15 years. He'll come to you too which I always find better as you need to disconnect everything until there is a reason to. Peter is also pretty cheap and will only do stuff that need doing. If it a lost cause he'll tell you but there are also options he'll discuss for recovery of data too. He has a wokshop at his house and he is based in Perry Parr. If that helps let me know and I'll drop his contact details to you.

Second Marish - he does the IT where I used to work. Would definitely recommend him, even though he doesn't like Macs!
