Robert, I meant good for Birmingham, this is about the only 'good' infra in North Brum

I've read that, cheers, it doesn't explain the diagrams with the consultation which only seem to add red routes, I will respond (as I did in the original one) to say the right turn shouldn't be done but I wanted a greater understanding of the changed plans.

I hadn't realised the Wellington Road turn was still on the cards when I responded. It's not necessary, it's a great example of BCC not being able to work toward any kind of organisation wide strategy.

Consultation out again for the A38 cycle lane, following the legal challenge.

I don't understand what is being consulted on here, it looks like it's just that they are going to make the area around the mcdonalds junction a red route? Is that it or am I missing stuff?

It seems like nothing given the delay for the legal challenge, I was expecting something more, like more consultation on the right turn into wellington road.

Have the plans changed or is it just the Air Quality reports have been done? I'm going to suggest that Wellington Road is closed to motor vehicles entering from Bristol Road.

Responses to the first consultation are available to view here https://www.birminghambeheard.org.uk/economy/bcr-a38/results/bcr-a3...

try searches for Elmhurst or resident of Wellington Road.

Because I travel from Sheffield to pick up, drop off, and visit my daughter who is a student at Elmhurst Ballet school The proposed alterations to Bristol Road affect access and egress from Elmhurst Ballet School. Removing the right turn just after Elmhurst will result in a detour, which may not be extreme in distance, but at rush hour could easily add an hour to our journey.

Because I travel to my daughters school, Elmhurst Ballet School , from London . Both Plans BR9 and BR11 will make access to our school neigh impossible .

Have to come to Elmhurst to bring my daughter to and from her school and live in Bristol so would be too far to cycle It would make it very difficult when taking my daughter back to and collecting her from school as with this new proposed cycle route it would mean detours for long distances to be able to enter the grounds or leave the grounds of Elmhurst school.

I thought the first two diagrams, with red bits on them, were changes as they are around the mcdonalds jucntion (I think, going from memory) and then after that it has the whole route starting from the Uni. Perhaps I'm wrong, I'll look again tonight.

City Centre Road Improvements

These are to enable quicker bus journeys but perhaps they could consider cycle infrastructure at the same time.
