Permalink Reply by Ian Ingram on February 20, 2012 at 15:31 I will be riding and took a recce of the first part of the course to Bidford on Sunday. In the narrow lanes the road surface is broken up at the edges so you will need to ride out a bit but take care for on-coming traffic. The wind on the return was tough so hope I can find a group to do some turns with and maybe a bit warmer too. I'm not as fit as last year so not looking forward to it much, but has to be done given I've also entered the Warwick100 (miles) in April so need the miles in my legs. Good luck to everyone and wishing you all a fun and safe ride.

Permalink Reply by Ian Ingram on February 20, 2012 at 16:23 I'm number 206. I plan to be off as close to 8am as I can and be back before 1pm but keeping a good even tempo, last year I got stuck with some friends going too slow for a while and ended up doing bit & bit back from the top of Dovers with one of my team mates which was very hard and resulted in a 4:10 ride but I'd like to keep it out of the red this time. I'd be in big trouble if I tried that this year.

I might be riding out that way on that date. I'll look out for riders. I might tag along. It would be a good taper down before Spring in The Peak on the 17th.

I'll be really pleased to do it around 5-5.5 hrs but I might try and keep up with you for the first 1/2 of the ride, what time are you planning to head off?
