P.S. Just found a statement in the booklet, "At 1988 prices a decent touring machine will cost at least £300", so it seems it was published then.

You will all no doubt be glad to know that British Rail were promising to improve the cycle parking at New Street Station!

 

This is proof that they lie and can not be trusted. Don't believe it until you see it.

Using the Retail Price Index one would have to double the 1988 figure to obtain the same purchasing power today.

I'll see if I can scan some more, but some of it is generic maintenance stuff and the maps are a copyright no-no.
