Lovely bike is the fitting on the back a super stable bike stand? Is there electrical assistance - looks like there might be a crank drive built in.

The fitting on the back is to hold the front wheel of a kids bike so it becomes a tagalong. They have 3 small kids and live car free in a city centre apartment. Her partner/husband was on a bike, eldest son (5ish) was riding his bike in the park but would be attached when on roads, middle child was on a balance bike which would go in the front with them for the ride home.

It is electric assist, she had a non electric version beforehand but found hills difficult so saved up to trade it in for electric assist. She said she's had it about a year. Was good to see. Are there any more cargo bikes out there in Birmingham that we don't know about?

Those tagalong things are rather good.  (As are cargo bikes, obviously.)

Great machine and kudos to that family
