Hi

Wondering how much work you are duplicating by setting up a new item. Have you contacted the Solihull Cycling Club with a view to their membership and location?

Hi
Solihull CC is a sports cycling club and as far as I know, not a campaign group. Even if they were, I doubt very much our aims would be compatible. I have set up the SBC intending to promote cycling as an ordinary method of transport, not a niche sport. That is not to say I have anything against cycling as a sport, I just believe that there is a real need to divorce ordinary cycling and sports cycling when it comes to campaigning. I have no doubt many of the SBC's intended goals will benefit both subsets and I would very much like to reach out to the Solihull CC eventually, but the SBC will remain an independent organisation.
If you would like clarification of our aims or have any more questions do not hesitate to ask.
Bracken
