Buses are a key and popular part of the transport mix but current proposals for City Centre Road Improvements from WMCA and Birmingham City Council have not been "cycle proofed". Looks like there will be even more lawless speeding motorists in West Midlands

 from BBC West Midlands speed cameras facing switch-off

Hundreds of speed cameras could be switched off in the West Midlands after funding of £1.9m for the partnership which runs them was cut.

The West Midlands Casualty Reduction Scheme, which manages the cameras, was funded by seven local authorities in the West Midlands.

But the authorities have withdrawn the funding because of budget cuts.

Hi Dave, indeed, club runs are a delight for sure, but i just do not seem to get out on them anymore, so looking for alternative ways to spend time on the bike. A bit of city exploring i think is in order!
