Mike Burrows - bicycle designer at Coventry Road Transport Museum

May 31, 2010 from 7:30pm to 9:30pm
Mike Burrows, designer of Chris Boardman's “Lotus bike” as well as some fantastic recumbent racers and radical city bikes is giving a talk in Coventry.Mike has some strong, even iconoclastic, views and this should be an interesting evening for anyone who has ever wondered if the design of the bicycle can be improved.More about Mike Burrows:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mike_BurrowsSee More

Some of us in Coventry are thinking about improving the web presence of organised cyclists in the Coventry & (mid) Warwickshire area. We hope that if cyclists in area improve the way we communicate, more people will come out on organised rides, our lobbying position with the councils will strengthen and more bicycles will be re-cycled.A Cov & Warks version of what there is at birminhamcyclist.ning.com might help. At the moment the various cycling related organisations in Coventry &…See More

George Riches replied to Jez Higgins's discussion Police verses cyclepaths?
"Just shows that being free from cars is not the only consideration when it comes to a suitable cycle route. Over here in Coventry, British Waterways have converted the canal towpath to a shared use cycle/foot path. Some people think its good. But…"
