Unused recumbent?,...

Just wondering if anyone might have a recumbent languishing in a shed at the moment that my broken thumbed self could try and get around on while I mend?! Thanks Graham (I promise not to try the same mtb stunt that broke the thumb.... ;-)

Cannock Monkey Trail

If you're into mountainbiking, you have to go and try the new Monkey trail at Cannock - stunning... loads of steep and swoopy single track descents and well graded hairpin climbs... taking the Follow the Dog trail to another level... "as good as some of the welsh trail centres.." FTD also has some new final sections - very good stuff - look out for the werewolf drop off... ;-)

Hi Graham,
Who's the person to talk to at BCC about permission for cycling events? I'm looking at organising a couple of charity rides in May and June. Just wondering what permissions we need. Get me on here or andy@focusbirmingham.org.uk

Cheers

You'll need to speak with the Highways section about the route. Start points?.. the Parks "department" or if it's City Centre the City Centre management team for booking space. Also yuuseful to discuss with the Events section (in the House of Sport now but moving to Manor House near the markets) You'll need to speak with British Waterways if you want to go along canals. Do you want to drop me an email setting out your idea to graham.lennard@birmingham.gov.uk and I'll forward it around - and give you some contacts.
