Does anyone use a computer repair person/company in Birmingham that they can recommend? Preferably someone with a good attitude that is mobile - i.e. goes out to customers rather than running a shop?Continue

I'm the guy who suggested the bread trick. I can confirm that it works. I have used it in anger a couple of times. Have ridden the canal towpaths in the dark a couple ot times. Once each year, and then I remember why I don't do it.

In France I have seen roadside signs indicating where accidents have happened. Presumably the French version of DfT place these Anthony Gormley-esque profiles of people where there have been accidents with injuries, with a red cross through the head…

During the breeding season I always take a slice of bread to work with me. If the geese are blocking the towpath, I take the bread out, break it into a few pieces, and throw them into the canal. Parents and goslings then all jump into the canal to…

Nice to eat is only one choice, and that is the Nimmings NT Car Park and cafe at the top of St Kenelm's Pass. Bacon butties are on lovely thick crusty bread, and are worth the climb alone.

Try Winwood Heath Road for a real challenge, although Rose Hill in Rednal is my personal nemesis, as there is no respite from the bottom to the top, and it just gets steeper the further you go. Mucklow Hill can be added onto the loop if you wish.

Prepare to waste a couple of hours (probably much more) in listening to some aimless waffle not answering the question.   Probably a better question would be: "On a Saturday morning, a large proportion of Birmingham heads for the…

Ah, yes - sorry.
Generally known as Jim. But this forum thingy got me all formal, so I used the name that my Mum knows me by.
