Canal Riding

Hello, All.I'm new to the UK, and a bit trepidatious of the commuter riding (the lack of bike lanes is terrifying to be sure). I've heard that bikers can use the canals to avoid rush hour traffic, is this true? I'm looking for alternative routes for my morning commute, and would love some suggestions. I've been taking A34 to City Centre from Kingstanding. Thanks in advanceKarenSee More
