"Haha, I did the same thing on the way in, only you beat me to it! They also seemed to be clearing the weeds on the opposite side... so perhaps the tow path will be improved shortly! Kris "

"The council have replied:  In summary, the new fittings are expected on 3rd Oct and they have booked a barge with the Canal and River Trust for the 4th. Now the next problem to sort out is how to stay mud free (or as near as possible) when…"

"Where I work we get 5 days a year paid sickness and that's it. If you take any more then you don't get paid. Nobody ever does though, they just come in and infect everybody else!"

"At least it's got lights - Galton Bridge Tunnel is a pit of Stygian Doom, even on a sunny day and the towpath surface is in a bad way. On the way back to Brum, the path takes a handy sharp left out of the tunnel, perfect for someone coming the…"

"On Saturday a girl on a bike emerged from the tunnel crying and rubbing her shoulder, presumably because she couldn't see where she was going (I certainly can't; I just keep the light at the end dead ahead)."

About me
I started cycling to work in March 2012. Much better than the train - literally a breath of fresh air! I tend to use the Worcester & Birmingham Canal towpath a lot.
