Simon replied to LS's discussion Centro Tender for Secure Cycle Storage Hub
"..or they could just have bought trains with proper bike storage then people wouldn't need to leave their bikes at the station and could use their bike that the other end to continue their journey."

Simon replied to mark's discussion Where did your bike take you today
"Did half of the Pattingham ~Loop today, on the newly rebuilt MTB. And lovely it was too, apart from the overgrown bit after Copley Ford - STINGERS! Included the new (ish) BW along Clive Bank - amazing views in many directions - worth doing the ride…"

Simon replied to Richard D's discussion What would you do if ...
"How about....Buy your self a very cheap old knackered car.  Dump it in the work's car park (assuming you have one), and leave it there.  When you arrive on the bike just put it in the knackered old car for the day.  Thus…"

Simon replied to doug salmon's discussion Move to Oxford ?
"Actually this was raised at the launch event on Friday morning.  I believe that the answer was something along the lines of: much as BNB would like to put in such a link and recognise its importance, it is beyond the scope of what is possible…"

Simon replied to nsandhu's discussion The canals
"I was thinking more generally on the subject of gates.  As you say, a radar key can be used on some canal gates, but many cycle path gates don't have this option. Although the strange thing is that kids on motorbikes seem to be able to get…"

Simon replied to mark's discussion Where did your bike take you today
"Fair enough Andy.  I guess that it's easy to fall into the trap of forgetting what it was like when we started riding and a few miles was a long distance."

Monday
Simon replied to doug salmon's discussion Move to Oxford ?
"Mock if you will but a lot of hard work is being done by a lot of people on this project, and to say that it consists of only a few disconnected routes is totally misrepresenting what is being done. First up the routes re not disconnected - if you…"

Simon replied to Andy's discussion Airbag Bicycle Helmet - Would you wear one..?
"For me to use one, someone would first have to prove that..... - I was more likely to get a head injury cycling  than say just walking down the street, walking home from the pub, driving, playing football, etc etc or any other activity where no…"

To save further confusion - this bike is "Fixed": that means that when you stop pedalling the back wheel locks up, it has no freewheel.
