Just been announced that Andy Burnham has appointed Chris Boardman as Cycling/Walking Commissioner for Manchester.So do we really expect the same here with Andy Street for an area far bigger in size ?Continue

"I have to agree Richard, if you are thinking you can complete 100 miles then surely you have done miles before and had punctures ? I do have tubs now on my sportive bike for that reason ha ha but I can swap an inner tube out etc in about 10 mins…"

"but every new one has the same problem. Other sportives are great but a closed road one is real special when cornering etc and it is worth the cash for that alone. Of course these events always manage to attract those of all abilities and well done…"
